  • I found peace here! The Savior touched my tired soul. This is a small church group of loving, caring western patriots. The sermons are simple Christian messages of faith from the Bible. This group might not be for everyone, but it is a welcome haven for us sinners. I was renewed and strengthened.

As I am searching for a new church home, I remembered seeing a sweet country church when we took our kids to Goldfield one day, so my husband and I planned to attend a service. I was hoping to find a small country church with a simple Christian message of love, service, doing good, and spreading kindness. What I got was every single thing wrong with Christianity. The pastors message was a hateful one. His sermon was one of exclusion and segregation, that we as Christians had to dig our holes of conviction in the ground and don't let anyone approach it or it could be sullied. It was filled with the arrogance of watching the world burn while we sit in our hole and cherish our superiority. I held my hand out to my husband and my hands were shaking, it was an actual visceral reaction to his words. If we weren't on the balcony hemmed in by people, we would have left. Oh, but his supreme attitude was peppered with inappropriate jokes about cheating on his wife and calling anyone not Republican, Christian, extremely conservative, and a Trump dovotee a "freak." That was his exact word. If you have any sort of love for people in this world, steer clear of this "church." Jesus absolutely cannot be found there.
